Weather Outfit – Corgicast
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
The short version
- We don't have accounts, and we don't ask for your name or email.
- Your location is used only to get your local weather. We don't store it on our servers or sell it.
- Your saved cities and settings stay on your device.
- No ads and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Our paywall provider, Superwall, receives anonymous purchase and usage data.
This policy explains how Weather Outfit – Corgicast ("Corgicast" or the "App") handles your information. "We", "us" and "our" refer to the App's developer.
Information the App uses
Location
If you allow location access, the App uses your device's location while you're using it to show weather where you are, pick the corgi's outfit, fill in the home-screen and lock-screen widgets, and personalize your daily weather notification. The App asks for "While Using the App" permission only.
To get a forecast, the App sends your location to Apple's WeatherKit service. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy and doesn't use it to identify you. We never receive your location on any server we operate. Your last known location stays on your device so widgets and notifications can work.
If you don't allow location access, you can search for cities by hand. City searches go through Apple's location services on your device.
Saved cities, settings and cached weather
Your saved cities, temperature units, "runs cold / runs hot" setting, notification schedule and recent forecasts are stored only on your device, in storage shared between the App and its widgets. We can't see them. Deleting the App removes them.
Notifications
Daily weather notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We don't run a push notification server or collect a device token.
Purchases and paywall
The App offers a yearly subscription and a lifetime purchase. Apple processes all payments through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details.
We use Superwall to show the paywall and check whether you have an active purchase. For this, Superwall receives purchase and subscription status, basic device and app details (such as device model, OS version, app version, language and region), and paywall events like views and purchases. It also gets an anonymous identifier. We use this data to deliver the paywall, unlock what you've paid for, and see how the paywall is performing. We don't link it to your identity. See Superwall's privacy policy for more.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information.
- We don't show ads or use advertising SDKs.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we don't use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
- We don't require an account or collect contact details.
Third-party services
- Apple WeatherKit, MapKit/Core Location and the App Store: weather data, city search and payments. See Apple's privacy policy.
- Superwall: paywall and purchase status. See Superwall's privacy policy.
Weather data is provided by Apple Weather.
Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Superwall keeps the data it receives according to its own retention policy. Because it isn't linked to your identity, we usually can't find records for a specific person. We'll still help with any request we can.
Your choices
- Turn location access on or off any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services.
- Turn notifications on or off in the App or in Settings › Notifications.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions.
- Delete the App to remove all data stored on your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
The App isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll also let you know in the App.
